FitPAWS Paw Pods are balance pods made especially for dogs. Balance pods are a useful tool for both balance training, motor skill development, and proprioception. They can also be used in physical therapy exercises to improve weight-bearing capability in individual limbs. Teach your dog to put all four feet on pods, just his two rear feet, just his front feet, or just a single paw. Teach your dog to stand with his front feet on balance pods and his rear feet on a balance disc or dome, or use a combination of 6" and 12" pods. The possibilities are endless.
The set includes four colorful Paw Pods (assorted colors). The Paw Pods are made from a firm yet flexible PVC material with an air-filled chamber. The Paw Pods are shipped inflated, and you can adjust the balance challenge by changing the amount of air inside each pod with a needle pump (purchased separately). You can also change the difficulty level by using the Paw Pods with the flat side down (less challenging) or the dome side down (more challenging.) The FitPAWS Paw Pods feature sensory bumps on top for neural stimulation and grip capability. The pods are 5" wide at the base and 2.5" high.
If your dog competes in conformation events, you can also use Paw Pads to teach your dog the art of stacking in a positive way. The FitPAWS Paw Pods can also be used with the Pilates for Pooches canine conditioning program and the Osteoarthritis and Your Dog DVD.
