Channel dog weave poles are a dog agility training method that has gained recent popularity. Channel weaves are similar in concept to regular dog agility weaves, except these weave poles provide your dog an adjustable "channel" to weave through. The channel weave pole set has a slightly more complicated assemply but is better for larger and faster dogs to use while agility training.
The "channel" weave pole training method uses two parallel rows of weave poles, side by side, but offset in such a way that the dog has a center "channel" to eventually weave through. At first your dog is not weaving as they simply run through the open dog agility equipement. However, by slowly bringing the weave pole sets closer together, inch-by-inch, your dog will begin to weave without realizing it. When the two separate weave pole sets are eventually aligned a straight line of agility weave poles is created.
